RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician University sophomore Sierra Gallagher (Honolulu, Hawaii/Kamehameha) has been selected as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the period ending Oct. 13, the CACC announced on Monday. Gallagher earns the award for the third consecutive week and the fifth time in her career.
Gallagher, a 5-foot-5 libero, set the Felician single-match record for digs with 38 during Felician's 3-1 CACC victory at Nyack College on Oct. 10. Two days later, she added 23 digs in a 3-2 home win over Chestnut Hill. She added five assists and three service aces in each match and put down her first two kills of the season on Saturday.

Gallagher has played in 18 matches for the Golden Falcons this season. She leads the CACC and is 21st nationally in NCAA Division II with 5.61 digs per set while also averaging 1.04 assists. She is a 2018 graduate of Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama.
Also on Monday, Felician senior outside hitter Raamiah Edwards (Bloomfield, N.J./Bloomfield) was chosen for the CACC Weekly Honor Roll. Additionally, freshman men's soccer goalkeeper Alex Kiwowicz (Garfield, N.J./Paramus Catholic) was named to the Weekly Honor Roll for that sport.
Felician (10-12, 8-1 CACC) is guided by sixth-year head coach John Chang of Cranford. It is in first place in the CACC North Division and is riding a school-record seven-match win streak. Gallagher, Edwards and the Golden Falcons are next in action on Oct. 19 when they travel to the University of the Sciences for a noon start in Philadelphia.
