WOODLAND PARK, N.J. – The Felician College women's cross-country team placed fourth out of 13 schools at the 2014 Ruadrunner Invitational, hosted by Ramapo College on Saturday morning at Garret Mountain Reservation.
Leading the way for Felician was sophomore Sabrina Roldan (Woodbridge, N.J./Woodbridge), who finished 13th overall out of 98 entrants. Roldan completed the 5,000-meter course in 21 minutes, 51 seconds. She was 85 seconds faster than her nearest teammate.
As the clock ticked past 23 minutes, three Golden Falcons crossed the line within 17 seconds of each other. Senior Andrea Sarracino (Wood-Ridge, N.J./St. Mary-Rutherford) was 24th with a time of 23:26. Close on her heels were senior Sylvia Bialy (Lodi, N.J./Lodi) (27th, 23:37) and sophomore Kate Rohsler (Fredon, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) (28th, 23:43).
Slipping into the fifth and final scoring spot for Felician senior Lianne Rossi (Nutley, N.J./Nutley), who clocked a 24:20 and placed 37th.
The Golden Falcons were credited with 114 points. That total was nine behind third-place Centenary (N.J.) College and 29 ahead of Drew University in fifth.
The host Roadrunners won the event, putting seven runners among the top 12 and ending up with 30 points. Ramapo edged runner-up Scranton University by two points. Roadrunner junior Emily Brock won the individual championship with a time of 19:41, while Scranton runners placed second, third, and fourth.
