NEWARK, N.J. – Three upperclass members of the Felician College women's cross-country team took advantage of the flat, fast, dry Branch Brook Park course to set personal bests for 5,000 meters at the NJIT Classic, hosted by New Jersey Institute of Technology on Saturday morning. The Golden Falcons finished second out of four non-Division I teams.

Felician's top three runners crossed the finish line within eight seconds of each other. Junior Andrea Sarracino (Wood-Ridge, N.J./St. Mary-Rutherford) was the team's No. 1 runner for the first time in her career, completing 5,000 meters in a career-low 12 minutes, one second, and placing 10th overall out of 32 non D-I runners.

Right behind Sarracino was freshman Katie Rohsler (Fredon, N.J./Kittatinny Regional). Rohsler finished 11th in 21:03. Junior Sylvia Bialy (Lodi, N.J./Lodi) ran a personal-best 21:09 and placed 13th.

Junior Lianne Rossi (Nutley, N.J./Nutley) took 17th place with a career-low 22:08. Nabbing the final scoring position was sophomore Michelle Camacho (Moonachie, N.J./Wood-Ridge) (21st, 23:24).

Felician was nipped by Ocean County College, 47-50, for the team championship. The Golden Falcons finished five points better than Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference rival Bloomfield College, which was third at 55. Union County College's Katie Lennon was the individual winner in 19:50.

On the Division-I side, the host Highlanders defeated Saint Peter's University, 21-36, and NJIT's Breanne Hollenbach won the race in 19:04.
