Collier Crosses Line First In Dual Loss To Bloomfield


WOODLAND PARK, N.J. -- The women's cross-country teams from host Felician College and Bloomfield College got together for a rare dual meet on Wednesday morning at Garret Mountain Reservation. Bloomfield earned a 24-31 victory, but Felician junior Alyssa Collier (Toms River, NJ) was the individual champion.

Collier completed the 4,000-meter (2.5-mile) course in 19 minutes, 10-seconds, to win the 12-person race. She was 15 seconds faster than runner-up Mercy Puma (Guttenberg, NJ) of the Deacons. Bloomfield earned the victory by placing its five runners second, third, fifth, sixth, and eighth.

Sylvia Bialy (Lodi, NJ) was fourth for the Golden Falcons in 20:30. Click here for complete results.
