BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- The Felician College women's cross-country team traveled to the Goodman Campus of Lehigh University on Friday to compete in their largest meet of the season, the Paul Short Run presented by Brooks. More than 5,000 runners from 450 college and high schools took part in the 38th annual version of the event.

The four Felician females in attendance took part in the College White Race, which contained most of the non Division-I competition. The race contained 39 scoring teams, seven more incomplete squads, and 335 entrants. The meet was also a 6,000-meter (3.75-mile) event, 1,000 meters more than a usual regular-season women's race.

Junior transfer Alyssa Collier (Toms River, NJ) was the only Golden Falcon to cross the finish line in the top 100. Collier clocked a time of 25 minutes, 37 seconds, good for 92nd place. Sylvia Bialy (Lodi, NJ) topped a trio of Felican freshman with a 26:43 and placed 167th.

Also competing for the Golden Falcons were newcomers Lianne Rossi (Nutley, NJ) (31:10, 308th) and Desiree Alvarado (Los Angeles, CA), who was 318th in 32:25 in her collegiate debut. Felician did not receive a team score.

Kutztown University took the team championship with 69 points, 16 fewer than runner-up Seton Hill University. Seton Hill sophomore Stephanie Pryor took individual honors with a time of 22:52.
