Felician Adds Junior-College All-American

RUTHERFORD, N.J.Alyssa Collier (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) will transfer to Felician College and has signed an athletic financial aid agreement to continue her women's cross-country career with the Golden Falcons, Felician head coach John Brennan announced today.

The 5-foot-5 Collier attended Ocean County College for the last two years, and attained National Junior College Athletic Assocation (NJCAA) All-America honors each season. She helped the Vikings to the 2009 NJCAA national championship and a national runner-up finish last year. She will have two years of eligibility at Felician, where she intends to major in psychology.

Collier is a 2009 graduate of Toms River North, where she was a member of sectional and South Jersey Group IV championship teams as a junior. She joins rising freshmen Sylvia Bialy (Lodi, NJ/Lodi) and Liane Rossi (Nutley, NJ/Nutley), who committed earlier this summer, as scholarship newcomers to Felician women's cross-country.

Felician is a member of NCAA Division II and competes in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). The Golden Falcons finished eighth at the 2010 CACC Championship.
