Felician Puts 16 On CACC Fall All-Academic Team

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Sixteen Felician College student-athletes have been named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Fall 2013 All-Academic Team, the CACC announced on Tuesday.

In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic Team, recipients must have participated in a CACC fall championship sport, be a second-year student-athlete who used a season of competition in 2013, have been a student at their current school for at least two semesters, and have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher. The CACC All-Academic program is in its 10th year.

Senior Alysia Arcona (Hackettstown, N.J./Hackettstown) and the women's soccer team highlighted the Felician list. Arcona, a two-time Capital One Academic All-American in women's soccer, earned her third CACC All-Academic Award, the maximum possible in one sport. Her team claimed 11 honorees, breaking its own school record (set last year with nine) for one sport in one year. The 16 overall winners match the number Felician sported in Fall 2012.

In all, 184 student-athletes from the CACC's 14 member schools were honored this fall and can be viewed at http://www.caccathletics.org/news/2013-2014/20140122-fallallacademic; Felician's recipients are listed below with GPA and major course of study.
