LYNDHURST, N.J. – Regionally-ranked Felician College saw its five-match unbeaten streak come to an end when it was edged, 1-0, by visiting Chestnut Hill College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's soccer action on Saturday afternoon at the Lyndhurst Recreation Complex.

The game's only goal came with 10 minutes, 21 seconds, to play in regulation, by Chestnut Hill senior Lauren Riiff (Clementon, NJ/Paul VI). One of the CACC's top three scorers, Riiff got free in the 18-yard box, danced past two defenders, and put a shot into the upper right corner of the net. Felician was unable to generate any serious offensive threats the rest of the way.

The Golden Falcons (7-3-1, 6-2 CACC) owned a 16-10 shot advantage, but were only able to put three of those 16 attempts on goal. CHC junior goalkeeper Jessica Veazey (Middletown, DE/Middletown) stopped all three to earn the victory. Sophomore Alysia Arcona (Hackettstown, NJ/Hackettstown) led Felician with six shots, including a 20-yarder off the crossbar in the 57th minute.

Felician junior Allie Couzo (Sayreville, NJ/Sayreville War Memorial) was credited with six saves. The Golden Falcons entered the week tied for No. 9 in the NCAA Division II East Region coaches ranking. The Griffins improve to 6-6 overall and 4-4 in league play.
