RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College senior Stephanie Jimenez (Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) has been chosen as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Soccer Co-Player of the Week, the CACC announced on Monday.
Jimenez recorded two goals and an assist in a 2-0 week for the Golden Falcons. In a 3-2 Sept. 21 home victory over Post University, she assisted on a second-half goal which broke a 1-1 tie, then tallied an insurance goal three minutes later -- which proved vital when the Eagles scored with just over a minute remaining. She also came up with the first goal of Felician's 2-1 victory at Wilmington (Del.) University on Saturday.
On the season, Jimenez leads Felician and is tied for third in the CACC in both goals (6) and points (13). A 5-foot-2 forward, she has 11 goals in her Golden Falcon career. She has helped Felician (5-2, 4-1) to second place in the CACC heading into Tuesday's league game against Bloomfield College.
Jimenez is the conference Player of the Week for the first time in her career, and shares the honor with Farrell Pomponio of Georgian Court University. She is a 2008 graduate of Fair Lawn High.
