RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Junior forward Marya Trapp (Red Bank, N.J./Red Bank Regional) scored 15 of her team's 31 second-half points, including a clinching three-point play with 44 seconds left in regulation time, to help lift Felician University to a 63-60 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's basketball victory over visiting Georgian Court University on Saturday afternoon at Job Gymnasium.

Trapp completed the game with 24 points and 10 rebounds, earning her ninth "double-double" of the season. Felician (4-13, 3-7 CACC) received 12 points and three steals from sophomore guard Danelle Gibson (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman). The Golden Falcons survived a 28-point, eight-rebound, five-steal effort from Georgian Court senior swing player Aliyah Berger (Washington, D.C./Carroll).

Felician extended a 32-26 halftime lead to its largest spread, 44-33, on a three-point play by Trapp with 3:34 remaining in the third quarter. The Lions, however, chopped their deficit to two late in the third before Trapp's three-point field goal allowed the hosts to escape the quarter ahead, 48-43.

A three by Kayla Hourany (Queens, N.Y./St. Francis Prep) put the Golden Falcons ahead by eight with 8:08 to play. But GCU (3-13, 1-9) had another run left in it. Consecutive lay-ups in transition by Kaitlyn Lister (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East) brought the Lions back within 53-52 at the 6:54 mark, and neither team made a field goal until 3:33 remained, when a Lister three-pointer tied the game at 55-55.

That score held until the 2:11 mark, when Trapp converted two free throws. Berger split a pair on the other end, and a lay-up by Felician's Kameron Stone (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman) made it 59-56. After the Lions misfired, Stone found Trapp in the low post, and Trapp made the lay-up and was fouled with 0:44 to play. Her three throw put the Golden Falcons safely ahead by six.

Felician shot 45 percent from the floor, including 56 percent after halftime. The hosts were also 18 of 21 at the foul line, including Trapp's 8-for-8 figure. Junior Marta Moix (Madrid, Spain/John Carroll School [Md.]) totaled nine points and a season-high seven assists for the Golden Falcons, and Stone also scored nine points.

Lister and Jaelyn Tweedy (Richmond, Va./Matoaca) netted 10 points each for GCU.

The Lions were ahead by as many as seven points in the first quarter and 17-13 at period's end. Felician went ahead to stay, 20-19, when Moix found Gibson for a fast-break lay-up with 6:46 left until halftime.
