NYACK, N.Y. – Despite 16 points and eight rebounds from senior guard Eliana Scanlon (New York, N.Y.), the Felician University women's basketball team was defeated by host Nyack College, 67-44, in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action on Tuesday evening at Bowman Gymnasium. Nyack (7-15, 5-10) earned a sweep of its two-game season series with the Golden Falcons.

Senior guard Raven Makins (Laurel, Md.) topped a balanced Nyack offense with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Scanlon's 16 points led all scorers.

Felician (2-21, 2-14) led, 10-8, following two Treanda Foster (Bronx, N.Y.) free throws with five minutes, 21 seconds left in the first quarter. However, the Warriors went ahead to stay with an 11-0 run, capped by five points from Jessica Logemann (Seminole, Fla.), and carried a 19-12 lead at period's end. Nyack was ahead by as many as 17 points in the second period, and 38-23 at halftime.

Nyack senior Tori Trador (Seminole, Fla.) scored eight points and Makins had six as their team outscored Felician, 21-8, in period four.

The Golden Falcons were held to 28-percent shooting from the floor for the night, and were outscored, 14-4, at the foul line. Salaycik finished with eight points, and Remi Iwelu (Brooklyn, N.Y.) posted six points, seven rebounds, and three blocked shots.
