RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician University fell behind, 26-8, after one quarter of its 77-55 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's basketball loss to visiting Chestnut Hill College on Saturday afternoon at Job Gymnasium.

Felician (2-18, 2-11 CACC) had trouble containing Chestnut Hill junior guard Caity Kuhnen (Binghamton, N.Y./Broome CC), who tallied 27 points on 11-of-20 shooting from the floor. Kuhnen, who made all four of the Griffins' three-point field goals, added five rebounds and five assists in 38 minutes of action. She netted 10 points in the decisive first quarter.

The Golden Falcons were led by 10 points, 12 rebounds and five blocked shots from sophomore forward Treanda Foster (Bronx, N.Y./John F. Kennedy). Senior Eliana Scanlon (New York, N.Y./Oak Hill Academy [Va.]) scored nine points for the hosts, and junior Taylor Trotman (East Orange, N.J./University) turned in eight points, six rebounds, and five assists.

Felician led, 4-2, with one minute, 41 seconds, gone by in the game, but was on the wrong end of a 21-1 run over the next eight minutes. A three-point play by Nicole Parriski (Burlington, N.J./Life Center Academy) put CHC ahead, 23-5, with 1:15 left in the period, and the Griffins held that same 18-point margin at the first-quarter buzzer. Chestnut Hill led by as many as 25 in the second quarter before settling for a 41-22 halftime advantage.

Felician closed to within 14 points on three occasions in the third quarter, the last time on two Trotman free throws with 0:55 left in the period, and were down, 55-40, at the end of the third. But the Griffins scored the first eight points of period four to halt the Golden Falcon comeback hopes. CHC's largest lead, 77-49, came on a Kuhnen three with 2:55 to play before Felician scored the game's last six points.

Junior Jaeda Wildgoose (Somerset, N.J./Franklin Township) scored 15 points with six rebounds for the Griffins (8-11, 6-6), and Parriski recorded 13 points and seven rebounds in 16 minutes off the bench. Chestnut Hill had 24 assists on their 31 field goals, and held Felician to 28-percent shooting from the floor.
