RIVERDALE, N.Y. -- In its final tune-up for the 2015-16 season, the Felician University women's basketball team lost an exhibition game, 101-68, to host Manhattan College on Saturday night at Draddy Gymnasium. Manhattan is a member of the Division-I Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference.
Sophomore guard Shyla Osmond (New Haven, Conn.) scored 11 points with four steals in 16 minutes for Felician. Golden Falcon graduate swing player Alex Salaycik (Staten Island, N.Y.) also totaled 11 points, and freshman guard Hannah Johnson (Jersey City, N.J.) had 10 points in 10 minutes.
Manhattan saw three players score 18 points -- senior center Crystal Ross (Philadelphia, Pa.) (eight rebounds, three steals), sophomore guard Amani Tatum (Cambria Heights, N.Y.) (five assists, six steals) and senior guard Blake Underhill (Edgewater, N.J.) (five assists, four steals).
Felician opens the regular season on Friday, November 13, with a 5:30 p.m. tilt at St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill, N.Y.
