RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Felician College women's basketball team withstood a late Nyack College run to earn a 66-61 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over the visiting Warriors on Tuesday evening at Job Gymnasium. Felician (6-9, 4-4 CACC) has won three consecutive games and five of its last six, and earned a sweep of its two-game regular-season series with Nyack.

Senior forward Trina Plummer (West Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) topped four Golden Falcon double-figure scorers with 18 points and added seven rebounds. Nyack sophomore guard Jessica Logemann (Seminole, Fla./Indian Rocks Christian) netted a career-best 20 points in 28 minutes off the bench.

Plummer tallied Felician's first eight points as the hosts got out to a 12-3 lead after six minutes, 15 seconds of action. However, the Warriors scored the game's next 11 points. The teams then remained within one possession of each other until Sierra McDuffie (Paterson, N.J./PCTI) capped a 6-0 Felician run with a lay-up with 2:05 to play in the period for a 25-50 edge. The Golden Falcons took a 27-23 advantage into halftime.

The second half continued in nip-and-tuck fashion until 8:21 remained, when two Jac'Quel Saunders (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Catholic) free throws gave the Golden Falcons the lead for good and touched off an 11-0 Felician run lasting nearly 3 ½ minutes. But the hosts then committed turnovers on their next five possessions, allowing the Warriors to cut a 10-point deficit to 59-56 with 3:17 to play.

A lay-up by Felician junior Ashley Morris (West Orange, N.J./West Orange) at the 2:19 mark ended the skid, but Audrey Matteson (Monticello, Ind./Univ. of Detroit) answered on the other end. The Warriors then came up empty on three possessions with a chance to get closer or tie, and a Plummer bucket at 0:46 sealed the Felician victory.

Felician caused 29 turnovers, and has forced 83 during its current three-game win streak. The Golden Falcons' 27 points off turnovers helped them withstand a barrage of 11 Nyack three-point field goals.

Logemann went 7 for 9 from the floor, including 6 of 8 from distance. Classmate Tori Trador (Seminole, Fla./Indian Rocks Christian) added 14 points for the Warriors (4-12, 3-6).

Saunders posted 14 points and four assists. Felician received a season-high 11 points from McDuffie, and Morris recorded 10 points and nine rebounds.
