RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College junior Trina Plummer (West Bablyon, N.Y./North Babylon) has been chosen as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the period ending Jan. 20, the CACC announced on Monday. Plummer is the first Felician basketball player, male or female, to earn conference Player-of-the-Week honors this season.
The Golden Falcons played one game during the reporting period, a 64-57 CACC road victory over Nyack College on Jan. 15. In that contest, Plummer, a 5-foot-10 forward, scored a career-high 27 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked two shots. It was her team-high third "double-double" of the year.
On the season, Plummer has started all 18 games for Felician and head coach Steve Fagan. She is averaging 13.2 points (10th in the CACC), 6.5 rebounds (19th) and 1.8 steals (12th). She is the first Felician women's basketball player to earn CACC Player-of-the-Week accolades since former teammate Quay Baskerville was honored twice during the 2010-11 season. Plummer is a 2010 graduate of North Babylon High.
