RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Felician College women's basketball program will sponsor a "Take a Kid to the Game" Day during its home game against Chestnut Hill College this Saturday, January 28, at 1 p.m.
Among the confirmed events for Saturday will be an appearance by the Golden Falcon mascot to entertain the youngsters in attendance. All children in eighth grade and younger will also be invited to a post-game autograph session with members of the Felician women's basketball team.
Ticket prices for Saturday are $5 for adults and $2 for students and senior citizens. Members of the Felician community (faculty, staff, students, alumni) are admitted free with proper identification. One ticket provides admission for both the women's game and the men's game between Felician and Chestnut Hill that follows at 3 p.m.
The "Take A Kid to the Game" program began as a national grassroots effort to encourage adults to take children to NCAA sporting events. While the program was discontinued for basketball in 2011-12, the Golden Falcon women have decided to continue the tradition at the institutional level.
Felician plays its home basketball games at Job Gymnasium on its Rutherford campus. More information is available by contacting the athletics department at (201) 559-3333 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
