RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Felician College women's basketball team never trailed in its 73-52 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over visiting Post University on Wednesday evening at Job Gymnasium. Destiny Barnette (Paterson, NJ/PCTI), the CACC's leading scorer, produced a game-high 18 points for Felician (8-7, 5-3 CACC).
Barnette fell just short of her average entering the night of 20.1 points per game, and added four assists and three steals. Felician led by as many as 14 points late in the first half and took a 35-25 lead into the locker room. Only once in period two did Post (3-11, 1-6) cut its deficit to single digits, at 41-32 with 15:51 to play. But the Golden Falcons scored the next five points and systematically pulled away, with the final 21-point margin the largest of the night.
