Secreti Continues Dominance Of CACC Rookie Award
RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College freshman Mike Secreti (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) has been chosen as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Cross-Country Rookie of the for the period ending Oct. 6, the CACC announced today. Secreti has claimed that award following all four of his races this season.

His latest recognition comes on the heels of his performance at the 10th Annual Technology Challenge, hosted by New Jersey Institute of Technology on Saturday at Branch Brook Park in Newark. Secreti was Felician's No. 2 man and finished fifth overall out of 167 non-Division I entrants, completing the 8,000-meter course in 26 minutes, 24 seconds.

Secreti's time ranks 14th on Felician's all-time list for 8K races. He led the Golden Falcons to a second-place result out of 21 schools on Saturday. He is a 2013 graduate of Paramus High.

Felician was idle for the period ending Sept. 29. That marked the only week this season in which Secreti has not earned the CACC Rookie of the Week honor.

Another former Spartan was honored by the CACC on Monday when Felician senior women's volleyball middle blocker Alexa Scrivanich (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) was placed on the league's Weekly Honor Roll.

Felician, a member of NCAA Division II, is guided by 12th-year head cross-country coach John Brennan. Secreti and the Golden Falcons next compete on Oct. 12 at the Jack St. Clair Memorial, to be hosted by Philadelphia University at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia.
