RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Felician College men's cross-country team, guided by 11th-year head coach John Brennan, remained the No. 8 team in the NCAA Division II East Region according to the most recent set of regional rankings released on Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association.
Felician stayed in the No. 8 slot for the third consecutive week. In fact, the entire regional top 10 was unchanged from a week ago.
The Golden Falcons were idle last week. They next compete on Sunday in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia. Felician is the two-time defending champion in the event, and has won nine CACC Championships in its 12-year history.
Felician senior Rob Albano (Pompton Plains, N.J./Pequannock Township) will also look to defend his 2011 individual title in Sunday's CACC race. Among his opponents will be Wilmington University senior Bill Steele, the 2010 champion. Wilmington is ranked No. 8 in the region.
