Men's X-C Ascends To Program-Best No. 6 In Region

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Coming off its convincing victory in last Sunday's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship, the Felician College men's cross-country team ascended one spot to No. 6 in the most recent NCAA Division II East Region ranking. The rankings were released on Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association. No. 6 is the highest the Golden Falcons have ever been ranked in program history.

The Golden Falcons, guided by 10th-year head coach John Brennan, won the CACC team title for the second consecutive year and the ninth time in the 12-year history of the team. They put six runners on the All-CACC team.

Felician will compete in the East Regional Championship on November 6 in Boston. It will look to top its best finish in that meet of eighth in 2008. The Golden Falcons were the final No. 10 team in the region last season.

The Golden Falcons are the only CACC men's program in the current regional top 10.
