RUTHERFORD, N.J. – After a one-week hiatus, the Felician College men's cross-country team has returned to the NCAA Division II East Region rankings. The Golden Falcons, guided by 10th-year head coach John Brennan, claimed the 10th spot in the most recent ranking released Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association.
Felician returned to the poll on the strength of its team victory at the Philly Metro Small College Invitational on Sept. 24. With mostly regional teams in the 14-school field, the Golden Falcons placed all five of their scorers among the top nine finishers. Felician junior Rob Albano (Pompton Plains, NJ/Pequannock Township) was the individual champion at the event, held at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, for the third consecutive year.
The Golden Falcons are the only Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men's program in the regional top 10. They are the defending CACC Champion, and have won the conference eight times in their 11-year history. They earned a final regional ranking of No. 10 in 2010.
