Albano Chosen CACC Co-Runner Of The Week

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College junior Rob Albano (Pompton Plains, NJ/Pequannock Township) has been chosen as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Cross-Country Co-Runner of the Week, the CACC announced today.

Albano finished second out of 143 entrants in the Monmouth University Invitational on Saturday. Facing a field in which 10 of the 14 schools were Division-I institutions, he ran the five-mile course at Holmdel Park in 26 minutes, 30 seconds. The Division-II Golden Falcons placed ninth in the team standings.

Albano is the first Felician athlete in any sport to win a CACC weekly award in the 2011-12 academic year. He is the conference Runner of the Week for the eighth time in his career, and shares this week's honor with Bill Steele of Wilmington (Del) University. He is a 2009 graduate of Pequannock Township High.
