RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Two days after playing its final regular season game, the Felician University men's soccer team saw its 2017 season come to an end on Friday evening.
In Caldwell, N.J., on Friday afternoon, Caldwell University and Bloomfield College played two a 2-2 tie. The draw gave Caldwell (7-9-2, 4-6-2 CACC) the point it needed to move even with Felician (5-10-2, 4-6-2) for eighth place in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference standings at 14 points. The Cougars earned tiebreaker rights over the Golden Falcons by way of their head-to-head victory over Felician on Wednesday in Lyndhurst, and with Friday's result, become the No. 8 and final seed in next week's CACC Championship tournament.
Felician's loss to Caldwell on Wednesday, combined with Nyack College's home victory over Concordia (N.Y.) College that same night, necessitated that the Golden Falcons root for a Bloomfield victory on Friday.
Felician's five victories and 14 CACC points this season were both its most since 2012.
