Nee Resigns As Men's Soccer Coach
RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Simon Nee of Weehawken has resigned as the head men's soccer coach at Felician College, Felician director of athletics Ben DiNallo Jr. announced today.
After three years as an assistant coach with Felician, Nee was named the Golden Falcons' fourth head coach in July 2010. He posted a two-year won-lost-tied record of 14-22-1, including 10-11-1 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play.
Nee's 2011 squad was the first Felician team in six years to reach the CACC semifinals. The Golden Falcons earned the No. 6 seed for the conference tournament with a 6-5 league record, then traveled to No. 3 seed Domincan (N.Y.) College in the first round and upset the Chargers, 2-1. The team finished 10-10 overall for Felician's most victories since 2002.
"We wish to thank Simon for his service as an assistant and head coach over the last five years," DiNallo said. "We wish him all success in his future endeavors."
