RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Two Felician College men's soccer players – senior midfielder Kevin Sinic (Leibnitz, Austria/Borg Monsberger) and freshman defender Keleenna Onyeaka (Birmingham, England/Solihull Sixth Form College) – were named to the 2011 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference All-Tournament Team.
The All-Tournament Team was announced at the conclusion of the CACC Championship Game on Saturday afternoon at Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. The team was selected by conference media relations staff in consultation with the participating head coaches. The complete all-tournament team can be viewed at http://www.caccathletics.org/sports/msoc/2011-12/releases/Championship-Msoc.
Onyeaka, a 6-foot-2 center back, scored a goal in Felician's first-round playoff victory at Dominican (N.Y.) College on Oct. 31. For the season, he started all 20 games for the Golden Falcons, recording three goals and one assist. Two of his goals were credited as game-winning goals. He was also named to the All-CACC First Team.
The 6-foot-3 Sinic scored Felician's only goal in a 3-1 semfinal playoff loss last Thursday to eventual conference champion Nyack College. A three-year starter, Sinic was second on the Golden Falcons in shots in 2011 with 62, and recorded four goals (three game-winners) and one assist in 18 starts.
The Golden Falcons finished with a 10-10 overall won-lost record and ended up in sixth place in the CACC table with a 6-5 league mark. They reached the CACC semis for the first time since 2005 and picked up the program's most victories since 2002.
