Golf Completes Season At Goldey-Beacom Invite
Barry Tsounikas shot a season-low 156 for 36 holes at the Goldey-Beacom Spring Invitational.

NEWARK, Del. -- Felician College junior Barry Tsouhnikas (Clifton, NJ) shot a 36-hole season-best 156 as the Golden Falcon golf squad completed its 2011-12 campaign with a seventh-place finish at the Goldey-Beacom College Spring Invitational, held Sunday and Monday at Deerfield Golf & Tennis Club.

Felician was in sixth place after Day 1 of the event, with a team score of of 357 on Sunday. However, despite firing a spring-best 344 on Monday, the Golden Falcons dropped a spot in the final team standings. Individually, Tsouhnikas tied for 13th place out of 37 entrants. He broke 80 both days, following his 79 on Sunday with 77 on Monday.

Playing in just his second collegiate tournament, senior Casey Phillips (Englewood, FL) was Felician's No. 2 man, placing 30th overall with a 90-84-174 on the par-70, 6,323-yard course.

Also in the starting line-up were sophomore Chris Zito (South Hackensack, NJ) (31st, 86-90-176), junior Jimmy Simpson (35th, 102-93-195), and junior Anthony Bizien (Hazlet, NJ) (36th, 117-111-228).

Nyack College won the seven-team event on a tiebreaker over St. Thomas Aquinas College after both teams ended up with two-day totals of 614 (+54). The host Lightning were one stroke back at 615. Felician's 701 was 11 shots behind sixth-place Holy Family University.

Patrick McRae of Goldey-Beacom was the medalist with 69-70-139 (-1).
