Philadelphia Outshoots Felician, 76-55

PHILADELPHIA – Felician College junior David Williamson (Bronx, NY) came off the bench to score a season-high 18 points, but the Golden Falcons were defeated by host Philadelphia University, 76-55, in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men's basketball action on Saturday afternoon at the Gallagher Center.

Philadelphia (17-8, 12-4 CACC), which never trailed, took control early, leading 27-9 after 11 ½ minutes and 41-20 at halftime. The Rams out-shot Felician, 64-24 percent for the opening period and 57-32 percent for the day. Philadelphia took its largest lead at 49-22 with 15:38 to play, and while the Golden Falcons did come back to within 60-47 on consecutive Williamson three-point field goals at the 9:22 mark, the hosts scored the next six points and pulled away.

All five Ram starters scored in double figures, led by 18 points and nine blocked shots from 7-foot senior center Temi Adebayo (9-11 FG). Williamson went 7 for 11 from the floor and 3-3 from beyond the three-point arc in a 22-minute effort. John Tello (Ridgefield Park, NJ) had 11 points and Tajric Boggs (Coram, NY) 10 points and three steals for the Golden Falcons (7-18, 4-14).

Felician completes its season with Tuesday night's 8 p.m. tip-off at Dominican (N.Y.) College.
