31 Golden Falcons Earn D2ADA Academic Achievement Award

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Thirty-one Felician College student-athletes have been named winners of the Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Awards for 2012-13. The Academic Achievement Award is a program that recognizes accomplishments of student-athletes at the NCAA Division 2 level.

In order to be recognized with a D2ADA Academic Achievement Award, recipients must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher, have attended college for at least four semesters, and have been an active member of an intercollegiate athletic team during his/her last academic year. The recipient’s athletics director must also be a current dues-paying member of the D2ADA.

Felician easily topped the 22 winners it claimed in 2011-12. The women’s soccer team led the way with nine honorees, followed by the softball team with eight.

Nationally, a record number of institutions (169) and student-athletes (6,801) were recognized, including 269 student-athletes from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. A list of CACC winners, broken down by school, can be accessed at http://www.caccathletics.org/news/2013-2014/D2CADA.pdf.
