RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College scored two minutes, 53 seconds, into the contest and 20 seconds into the second half, but could not hold off an explosive Bloomfield College offense in its 4-2 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men’s soccer loss to the visiting Deacons on Thursday night at Tryon Field. The match was the home and conference opener for the Golden Falcons.

Senior Lukas Fraczek (Szczytno, Poland/Winchendon) gave Felician (2-3, 0-1) the early advantage, finishing on a corner kick opportunity, and the lead held for nearly 20 minutes. But Bloomfield’s Evans Tageo (Ghana/Union CC) and Triston Sommerville (Kingston, Jamaica/Frome) converted on unassisted opportunities 63 seconds apart, and Tageo struck again in the 36th minute for the eventual game-winner.

Carlos Canido (Santa Cruz, Bolivia/Tahuichi Academy) drew the Golden Falcons closer shortly after the second-half kickoff, but Bloomfield quickly regained control of the action, and Felician never put another shot on goal the rest of the game. Sommerville finished with a goal and two assists and Dwayne Reid (Bronx, NY/Tivoli Gardens) scored his league-leading eighth goal of the season for the Deacons (4-2, 3-0).

Felician goalkeeper Paulo DosSantos (Toronto, Ontario/Sir Oliver Mowat) was credited with six saves.
