POMONA, N.Y. – Saint Thomas Aquinas College scored three times in the first 22 minutes of its 6-1 non-conference men’s soccer victory over visiting Felician College on Wednesday afternoon at the North Rockland Soccer Club complex.

Senior Gerald Jones (Monroe, NY) found the back of the net in the fifth and sixth minutes, becoming the all-time goal-scoring leader in STAC’s NCAA era. He added his 18th career goal late in the second half to complete the hat trick.

The Spartans (1-1-1) took a 4-1 advantage into halftime. Felician’s Carlos Canido (Santa Cruz, Bolivia) picked up his first collegiate goal at 31:31, but it was sandwiched by tallies from STAC’s Christopher Hernandez (Middletown, NY) and James Earl (New Paltz, NY).

Remington Lee (Hopewell Junction, NY) had a goal and an assist off the bench for the Spartans, whose six goals came on just 11 shots. Felician falls to 2-2.
