RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College “redshirt” freshman Megan DeLamater of Paramus has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Volleyball Rookie of the Week, the CACC announced today. She is the first conference weekly award winner in any sport for the Golden Falcons this academic year.
DeLamater, a 5-foot-10 setter, averaged 1.42 kills, 4.10 assists, 1.17 digs, and 1.58 blocks per set despite an 0-4 week for Felician. She highlighted the week with a four-kill, 10-assist, six-dig, nine-block performance on Saturday in a three-set loss to Elizabeth City State University during the Lock Haven University Classic. The nine blocks were one shy of the school record.
On the season, DeLamater has appeared in all 24 sets for the 0-8 Golden Falcons. She leads Felician with 3.25 assists and 0.79 blocks per set, while also averaging 0.96 kills and 1.00 digs. She is a 2007 graduate of Paramus High, and transferred after sitting out last season at Saint Peter’s College.
