RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. -- The Felician volleyball team concluded play at the season-opening Super 8 Spikefest with three-set losses to Drury University and tournament host Arkansas Tech University on Saturday at Tucker Coliseum.
In the afternoon match, Drury (2-1) was able to finish off the Golden Falcons in 58 minutes, 25-14 25-9 25-12. The Panthers held Felician to a negative attack percentage in all three sets, and owned an 11-0 advantage in service aces. Drury's Kyrie Hopkins () led all hitters with nine kills while hitting .615. Freshman Ashlee DiSalvo (Batavia, NY) had 12 digs for Felician.
The Golden Falcons (0-4) finished their stay in Arkansas with a 25-6 25-16 25-11 loss to the host Golden Suns (4-0) in the evening session. Ashlynn Hamrick (Jackson, MI) had 13 kills and hit .600 in leading the winners to a .318 attack percentage. Felician, which never led, received three kills and 11 assists from freshman Megan DeLamater (Paramus, NJ).
