NORTH WALES, Pa. -- Senior Nick Riker (Highlands, NJ) pitched seven shutout innings and Felician College produced 14 base hits in its 8-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference baseball victory over host Chestnut Hill College on Sunday afternoon at Hostelley Fied. Felician, which swept the three-game season series from Chesnut Hill, has won four consecutive games and eight of its last nine.

Riker (4-4) allowed five hits, struck out eight batters and walked one in winning his fourth consecutive decision, letting just one runner reach third base. The Golden Falcons (19-16, 11-6) scored twice in top of the third inning on run-scoring singles from Marcos Torres (Miami, FL) and Chris Flynn (Keyport, NJ).

After tacking on two unearned runs in the fifth inning, Felician broke the game open with a four-run sixth. With two outs, Vinnie DiBenedetti (Forked River, NJ) drew a bases loaded walk, and Anthony Balmos (Egg Harbor Township, NJ) followed with a three-run triple to right field.

Sophomore designated hitter Jon Del Franco (Bridgewater, NJ) went 3 for 5, and Balmos was one of four other Golden Falcons with two base hits. Freshman Dan Etherton (Princeton, NJ) was 3 for 5, including an RBI single in the eighth, for the Griffins. Felician's Mickey Zudonyi (Holmdel, NJ/Holmdel) went 6 for 11 in the series, while Etherton was 5 for 10.
