MIDDLETOWN, Del. -- The Felician College golf team finished in 10th place out of 11 teams at the 2008 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship, hosted by Wilmington (Del.) University on Monday and Tuesday at Back Creek Golf Club.

Felician, a third-year program, carded a team score of 767 for 36 holes. The Golden Falcons were also in 10th place after Day 1, when they recorded a 391. They finished ahead of the 803 turned in by Chestnut Hill College.

Sophomore Joe Peters (Barnegat, NJ/Southern Regional) was the low man for Felician, firing a 15-over par 86 each day on the 6,505-yard links for a 172. Peters finished in 27th place out of 53 competitors. Sophomore Rob Young (Glendale, NY/Cathedral Prep) was the No. 2 man for the first time this season, recording 87-89-176 for 32nd place. Also scoring for the Golden Falcons were freshman Joe Leardo (Belleville, NJ/Belleville) (90-88-178, T-35th) and senior Greg Patullo (South Amboy, NJ/Bishop Ahr) (128-113-242, 52nd).

Post University repeated as the CACC champion by shooting 601, 23 strokes better than the host and runner-up Wildcats. Post freshman David McGregor (even-par 142) was named the CACC Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year. Coach-of-the-Year honors went to Wayne Mackey of Dominican (N.Y.) College, and Nyack College was voted the Team Sportsmanship Award winner.
