WATERBURY, Conn. —- A Dave Schoer (Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan) RBI-single to left field in the top of the 11th inning gave Felician College a 6-5 win over the Post University baseball team on a cold and cloudy Sunday afternoon at Municipal Stadium. With the win, Felician improves to 13-15 overall and 6-5 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), while the Eagles fall to 11-18 overall and 3-7 in CACC play.

Vinnie DiBenedetti (Forked River, NJ/Lacey Twp.) sparked the Golden Falcon offense in the 11th inning, with a single through the left side of the Post infield. He was then moved to second on a sacrifice-bunt, and went to third, when Mike Libretta (Staten Island, NY/Moore Catholic) reached on an error. After an out, Schoer singled, then went to second an error, to push across the game winning run. Nick Riker (Highlands, NJ/Red Bank Catholic) (3-4) allowed one run on four hits in five innings of scoreless relief.

Junior third baseman Corey Huffine (Colorado Springs, Colo./McCook C.C.) went 3-for-6 at the plate for the Eagles, with his seventh double of the season and two runs batted in. Junior second baseman Dan Luisi (Bethpage, N.Y./Holy Trinity) went 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Sophomore shortstop Jose Reyes (Yonkers, N.Y./Roosevelt) went 1-for-4 with two runs

Hector Bello (Miami, FL/Miami Coral Park put Felician on the board first with an RBI-single to left field which scored Schoer, who led the inning off with a single to left field. The Golden Falcons added another run when Joey Algieri (West Milford, NJ/Paramus Catholic) grounded into a double-play, which allowed Jon Del Franco (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan), who doubled to right, to score.

Del Franco and Bello each had RBI-singles in the top of the third inning to give Felician a 4-0 lead. Del Franco singled to short right field to drive in Marcos Torres (Miami, FL/South Miami), who singled to centerfield. Bello then popped a single to left centerfield to plate Schoer.

The Eagles would get two of those runs back in the bottom of the third inning. Senior DH Eric Rovinetti (Watertown, Conn./Southern Connecticut State Univ.), with runners on first and second moving, laced a single to right field, which plated Reyes, who led the inning off with a walk and later stole second base. Then with two outs, junior first baseman Jim Conto (W. Hempstead, N.Y./Holy Trinity) singled to the gap in right center field, knocking in Luisi

Felician tacked on one more run in the top of the fourth inning, with a sacrifice-fly from Mickey Zudonyi (Holmdel, NJ/Holmdel).

The Eagles cut into the Felician lead with two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, to make it 5-4. With runners on second and third, Huffine hit a seeing-eye single through the left side of the Felician infield to drive home senior centerfielder Chris Ouellette (Uncasville, Conn./Montville), who walked, and Reyes, who roped a single to left field.

Post knotted the game in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the bases loaded, junior catcher Joe Proscia (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xaverian) grounded into a double play to score Luisi, who singled to right field.
