Felician Athletics - 4/1/08 GOLF - Golden Falcons Finish 16th At Goldey-Beacom

AVONDALE, Pa. -- The Felician College golf team finished in 16th place in the two-day Goldey-Beacom College Invitational, held Monday and Tuesday at Hartefeld National Golf Club.

Felician sophomore Joe Peters (Barnegat, NJ) fired a seven-over-par 79 on Day 2, his best round of the season. His 11-stroke improvement over the previous day allowed him to match freshman Joe Leardo (Belleville, NJ) as the Golden Falcons' low man of the tournament. Both players tied for 58th place with 36-hole scores of 169.

Also contributing to Felician's two-day total of 741 were sophomore Rob Young (Glendale, NY) (70th, 93-85-178) and senior Greg Patullo (South Amboy, NJ) (81st, 108-117-225). Millersville University won the event with a 598, and Gavin Smith of Indiana (Pa.) University was the low individual at 77-70-147.
