BLOOMFIELD, N.J. -- The Felician women's basketball team played its final game of the 2007-08 season on Wednesday evening, losing a CACC North Division contest, 94-39, to host Bloomfield College at BC Gym. The Golden Falcons finish with an overall won-lost record of 3-24, one victory better than last year.
The Bloomfield defense held Felician to nine field goals for the evening, an 18.4-percent rate, and helped force 30 Golden Falcon turnovers. The Deacons got out to an 8-0 lead, and went ahead, 30-7, 12 minutes into the contest. Bloomfield also owned a 53-32 rebounding edge.
Senior Dee Dee Smith (Monticello, NY) scored 16 points for the visitors, and freshman Bianca Johnson (Nanuet, NY) led Felician with six rebounds. Bloomfield (14-13, 11-6) put six scorers in double figures, topped by 16 points and four steals from all-conference selection Ciera Darby (Trenton, NJ).
