2/25/08 MEN'S BASKETBALL - Barrow Is CACC Rookie Of Week For Second Time Print E-mail
Rod BarrowRUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College junior Rod Barrow of Harlem, N.Y., has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week, the CACC announced today. It is the second such honor for Barrow and the seventh for Felician this season.

In a 1-1 week for the Golden Falcons, Barrow, averaged 17.0 points and 8.5 rebounds while shooting 58.3 percent from the field. He earned his first career double-double in Saturday’s home victory over Chestnut Hill College, recording season highs of 18 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks.

Barrow, a 6-foot-7 forward/center, is eligible for Rookie of the Week honors by virtue of having never before played college basketball. A second-semester enrollee, he has appeared in 16 games, starting 12, for the 10-16 Golden Falcons. In that time, has contributed 8.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game with a .576 field-goal percentage. A 2002 graduate of Legacy High, Barrow owns an associate’s degree from LaGuardia Community College in Queens, N.Y.
