RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Felician College men’s basketball team concluded its 2007-08 non-conference schedule with a 77-59 loss to visiting West Chester University on Monday night at Job Gymnasium.

West Chester’s Kenneth St. George (Philadelphia, PA/Central) scored 21 of his game-high 26 points in the second half, including eight in a game-deciding 21-3, five-minute Golden Ram run. After a tightly contested first half ended with WCU ahead, 28-27, West Chester opened up a 40-31 advantage with 15:19 remaining in regulation. Felician erased that deficit over the next five minutes, taking a 47-45 lead at 10:14 on a Jason Romer (New York, NY/Wadleigh) three-point field goal. But by the 5:03 mark, back-to-back threes by St. George and Roger White (West Chester, PA/Henderson) had given WCU (11-9) a 66-50 edge.

The Golden Rams’ Lenwood Greenwood (Philadelphia, PA/Holy Ghost) had a “double-double” by halftime and finished with 20 points and 20 rebounds. Devon Young (Monmouth Junction, NJ/South Brunswick) topped Felician (8-13) with 15 points and nine rebounds and teammate Derrell Thomas (Harlem, NY/Manhattan Center) scored 12 points with four steals. The Golden Falcons finish their non-league slate 6-5, including a loss to West Chester on Dec. 30, and have six Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference games remaining.
