Devon Young is a four-time CACC Rookie of the Week
RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College freshman Devon Young of Monmouth Junction has been named a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Basketball co-Rookie of the Week, the CACC announced today. It is the fourth time Young has won or shared that honor this season.
Young, a 6-foot-3 forward, averaged 17.5 points and 8.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Golden Falcons. He recorded his third “double-double” of the year with 15 points and 10 rebounds in last Thursday’s victory at Chestnut Hill College, then scored 20 points with seven boards in a loss at Caldwell College on Saturday. He shared the honor with Chestnut Hill’s Trenton Davidheiser.
Young is the leading scorer for the 8-12 Golden Falcons. Starting all 20 games, he has amassed 16.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists in a team-high 34.8 minutes per contest. He is a 2007 graduate of South Brunswick High. More information is available here.
