ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. -- The Felician College women's basketball team was held to nine points in the first 11 minutes of its 73-44 non-conference loss to host Molloy College on Monday night at Quealy Gymnasium.
Molloy (9-9), which never trailed, opened up leads of 14-2 with 14:50 left in the first half and 26-9 at the 9:10 mark. After the Lions extended to a 46-24 edge at halftime, they were able to maintain an advantage of 20 to 30 points throughout the second period. Molloy forced 29 Golden Falcon turnovers on the evening.
The Lions' Randi Bender (North Bellmore, NY) led all scorers with 15 points, and teammate Kymira Woodberry (Boston, MA) posted 13 points and 10 rebounds. Dee Dee Smith (Monticello, NY) recorded 12 points and eight rebounds and Janelle Biamonte (Secaucus, NJ) added 11 points for Felician (3-15).
