DUNAY
RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College junior center Kimberly Dunay (White Plains, MD) scored with 12.3 seconds remaining in regulation, lifting her team to a 51-49 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference North Division women’s basketball victory over visiting Nyack College on Saturday afternoon at Job Gymnasium.

During a Felician timeout with just over 24 seconds to play, the 6-foot-2 Dunay was sent into contest for the first time since the first half. The game had been tied, 49-49, since the 1:40 mark. When play resumed, Dunay obtained position on the left block, received an entry pass from Bianca Johnson (Nanuet, NY), and laid the ball over the rim for her only points of the game. On Nyack’s last possession, a contested 16-foot jumper by Shelly Yount (Belvidere, NJ) missed off the front rim, and by the time a Warrior secured the offensive rebound, the final buzzer had sounded.

All nine players in uniform scored for Felician (3-11, 1-5), led by 10 points from Shannon Gilmartin (Port Monmouth, NJ). Amanda Bartee (Jersey City, NJ) posted game highs of 10 rebounds and three steals. Sophomore Kelsy McIntosh (North Pole, AK) topped Nyack (5-8, 2-3) with 14 points, while Yount had nine points and nine rebounds.

The Golden Falcons built a 27-20 halftime edge, and led by as many as eight points in the second half before Nyack took its first lead of the game, 40-39, at the 8:02 mark. The Warriors’ largest bulge was 45-41 with 5:25 to play.
