Felician Athletics - 12/3/07 MEN'S BASKETBALL - Young Repeats As CACC Rookie Of Week

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College freshman Devon Young of Monmouth Junction has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week, the CACC announced today. Young has earned that honor for the second consecutive week.

Young, a 6-foot-3 forward, matched his season high with 21 points in Felician’s 82-65 non-conference road loss to St. Thomas Aquinas College last Wednesday. It was the Golden Falcons’ only action of the week. He shot 7 for 16 from the floor (including 2 of 4 on three-point attempts) and made 5 of 6 free throws, adding three rebounds and two steals.

Young is the leading scorer for the 3-3 Golden Falcons. Starting all six games, he has amassed 17.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists in a team-high 31.5 minutes per contest.
