Lindsey Petry is Felician's first First-Team all-CACC women's soccer player in four years. RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Lindsey Petry of Newton, a junior at Felician College, has been named to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women’s Soccer First Team, the CACC released today. The conference’s 12 head coaches voted on the award winners.
Petry, selected as a midfielder, started 17 games this year and scored nine goals and four assists for a team high 22 points. She ranks first in the CACC in shots per game and 10th in goals and points. She recorded two hat tricks, against St. Thomas Aquinas College on Sept. 8 and Concordia (N.Y.) College on Sept. 19. Petry started games at center midfield, right halfback, and forward for the Golden Falcons. She is Felician’s first First-Team honoree since Cortney Gavin in 2003.
The Golden Falcons had a won-lost-tied record of 5-12-1, and tied for ninth place in the CACC with a 3-8 league mark. Petry is a 2004 graduate of Kittatinny Regional High, and sat out last year after transferring from Sussex County Community College. She is the 12th Felician student-athlete to attain All-CACC honors this fall.
