PHILADELPHIA -- Felician College has earned all-three individual year-end men's cross-country awards from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. The honors were handed out following Saturday's CACC Championship meet at Fairmount Park.

Senior Paul Chegwidden (Hamburg, NJ/Wallkill Valley) was named CACC Men's Runner of the Year after winning the conference championship race, which contained 64 entrants. Chegwidden completed 8,000 meters (five miles) in 26 minutes, 35 seconds, defeating his nearest opponent by more than 54 seconds. He also broke the meet record by five seconds. Chegwidden earned all-CACC honors for the third time in his career.

"Today was the culmination of two solid years of injury-free training for Paul," said sixth-year Felician head coach John Brennan. "He's a talented runner who works his tail off, and today he put it all together."

Freshman Jay Rodgers (Westmont, NJ/Haddon Township) earned Felician's first Rookie of the Year award following his third-place finish. Rodgers, a three-time CACC Rookie of the Week in the regular season, produced a season-low 27:38. The Rookie of the Year award was instituted in 2005.

"As a freshman, Jay has already established himself among the conference's best runners," Brennan said. "Quite honestly, he's exceeded the expectations we had for him. It's been a pleasant surprise watching him develop."

Brennan was voted by his peers to his fourth consecutive men's Coach of the Year award. Led by Chegwidden and Rodgers, the Golden Falcons won their fourth consecutive team championship, and their most lopsided one, as all seven Felician runners earned all-conference (top 15) status.

"Coach of the Year simply means you have the athletes of the year," said Brennan, of Clark, N.J. "Our first priority every year is a team championship. We dont work toward invidiual honors; the ones we won this year were simply a result of working for team goals. I'm actually most pleased about getting the seven guys on the all-conference team. That was a goal we set and I'm excited to have done it."

Felician will participate in the NCAA East Regional Championship at Lock Haven University on Nov. 3.
