Felician Athletics - 10/16/07 VOLLEYBALL - Volleyball Swept At Post

WATERBURY, Conn. -- The Felician women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 (30-23, 30-22, 30-27) CACC North loss to host Post University on Tuesday night at the Drubner Center, allowing Post to sweep the teams' season series.

The Eagles (7-14, 7-3) jumped out to a 13-7 lead and cruised to victory in Game 1. Felician recovered from an 8-2 Game 2 deficit for a 13-13 tie, but never led, and Post pulled away for a 25-18 edge before finishing. Neither team led by more than three points in the third game, but Post's Nicole Gizzi (Waterbury, CT) broke a 24-24 tie with three consecutive service aces to help her team clinch the match.

Desere Obregon (Bogota, NJ) guided the Eagle offense with 42 assists and seven digs, and Kerry Smith (Lynbrook, NY) led all hitters with 17 kills. Post enjoyed match advantages of 47-29 in kills and 11-2 in aces. Keisha Milstrey (Bronx, NY) had 15 kills for the Golden Falcons (3-17, 3-7).
