BLOOMFIELD, N.J. -- Felician College lost its CACC women's soccer game to host Bloomfield College, 2-0, on Tuesday afternoon at Watsessing Park.

Bloomfield goalkeeper Danielle Blumberg (Bayville, NJ) earned a 12-save shutout, as she helped her team overcome a 27-13 shot disadvantage. Freshman Melissa Torzewski (Glen Gardner, NJ) scored both Deacon goals in the second half.

Torzewski broke the scoreless tie when she gained control of a failed Felician clear, beat the goalkeeper one-on-one, and shot the ball into an open net at 54:02. In the process, she set a Bloomfield single-season record for goals (10). The Deacons (4-11, 2-7) scored the insurance goal off a set piece in the 73rd minute.

Felician's best offensive chance came in the early minutes of period two when Blumberg made a leaping save on a high hard shot by Christine Warren (Hasbrouck Heights, NJ), nudging the ball over the crossbar. She saved another Warren shot on the ensuing corner kick.

Amanda Musarra (Hasbrouck Heights, NJ) had seven saves for the Golden Falcons (5-9-1, 3-6).
