10/15/07 MEN'S CROSS-COUNTRY - Rodgers Earns Third CACC Rookie Of Week Award
Jay Rodgers has been named CACC Rookie of the Week three times.
RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College freshman Jay Rodgers of Westmont has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Cross-Country Rookie of the Week, the CACC announced today. It is his third such honor of the 2007 season.
Rodgers finished in 12th place out of 159 entrants at Saturday’s Cabrini College Invitational at Belmont Plateau inside Fairmount Park in Philadelphia. He completed the 8,000-meter course in a season-low 27 minutes, 50 seconds, to lead Felician and end up second among CACC runners. Rodgers is a 2007 graduate of Haddon Township High.
The Golden Falcons were third out of 19 schools in the team standings at Cabrini, and first among the six CACC members in attendance. The 2007 CACC Championship will be held this Saturday, Oct. 20, at Belmont. The Golden Falcons are the three-time defending champions.
