PHILADELPHIA -- In its final tune-up for next weekend's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship, the Felician women's cross-country team finished second out of 15 schools at the Cabrini College Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Belmont Plateau.

Running on the CACC championship course, the Golden Falcons placed first out of seven league schools in attendance. Felician scored 82 points, 13 behind meet champion Ursinus College and one better than defending CACC champion Georgian Court University. It was the first time in three head-to-head meetings this year that the Golden Falcons out-pointed GCU.

Felician's usual top two of junior Amanda Scibetta (Middletown, NJ) and freshman Toni Fowler (Mount Holly, NJ) were true to form. Scibetta traversed the 5,000-meter course in 19 minutes, 56 seconds, taking 24 seconds off of her previous collegiate best set last week. She was eighth overall out of 133 entrants and fourth among CACC runners. Fowler was ninth overall in 20:14, also a career low.

Rounding out the scoring for the Golden Falcons were freshman Sarah Root (Aberdeen, NJ) (16th, 21:02), senior Melissa Barroqueiro (Carteret, NJ) (20th, 21:22), and sophomore Sophia Chick (Edison, NJ) (33rd, 22:00). Heather Miara of Georgian Court was the individual champion in 19:26.
