PHILADELPHIA -- Three first-half goals by senior midfielder Armin Tandir (Bosnia) lifted Felician College to a 5-1 CACC men's soccer victory over host Chestnut Hill College on Saturday afternoon at CHC Field. The win was Felician's first in league play in 2007, and kept the Golden Falcons alive in the race for the CACC's final playoff berth.

Chestnut Hill (6-6-2, 1-5), a CACC newcomer and provisional Division II member, opened the scoring when Andrew Thorne (Nazareth, PA) tallied in the 17th minute. Tandir then took over, recording unassisted goals in the 26th and 33rd minutes to give his team the lead. With 3:04 remaining in the first period, Tandir struck again, with a chip shot which sailed just under the crossbar, and Felician led, 3-1, at intermission.

Felician (2-13-2, 1-5-1) thwarted the Griffins' comeback hopes 7:17 into the second half, when junior sweeper Lukas Fraczek (Szczytno, Poland) scored his first career goal, heading home a corner kick. Boris Shabovta (Manalapan, NJ) provided the final margin in the 74th minute.

Duhan Malali (Galloway, NJ) made six saves in 86 minutes for CHC.
